Beyer Racing has expanded to a two car team for Laguna Seca. And Beyer Racing are very pleased to announce that Mike Forest has joined the team for Laguna as a one off, he will drive the #13 Pontiac Riley with Ricky Taylor, Jared will join Jordan Taylor in the #5 Honda Comptech Riley. Looking to accelerate the development and experience level this should do the job.The Honda Comptech has been in the works since before the New Year, so the spare car rolled into a transporter on the 13th of Feburary and headed West for the motor installation, unfortunatly the car had to be then shipped back to the east coast early March for Riley to do some chassis changes, setting some much needed testing in March of the schedule. The car then first turned its first wheel on April the 15th, at Sears Point, after some unforseable set backs, and got 40 laps in, enough to fix some initial problems. The Comptech Riley ran fine and the next event was to be Laguna Seca. The engine will run in stage 1 form even though it has been approved for stage 2 developments. Team manager Jon Baytos has assembled a good group of people for the car, pulling double duty will be Dominic Cape engineer & Don Conner Dag. Craig Brooks will Crew Chief, overseeing a group of mechanics.
