Assaulted from the rear at the start, the #13 Beyer Racing Team never gave up to claim a top ten finish in New Jersey. In a torrential downpour Ricky Taylor took the green flag only to be rammed by the MSR #60 driven by Mark Pattersen. Fighting the elements the team battled back, going only one lap down things didn't look too bad. The lack of any rear downforce hindered the effort, but Ricky kept pushing and good strategy again kept the #13 in the top 10, the car ran good and the visibility was very good, but a lack of radio contact for the first two hours of Ricky's long stint resulted in some unscheduled stops. Jared finished the race off, bringing the the car home in tenth, a good result considering all things that happened, and a great qualifying result 8th should't be forgotten. Roll on Laguna Seca.
