Ricky Taylor and the Cape Motorsports / Beyer Racing Team put in a stellar testing display at Daytona this week. A last minute switch to the Riley chassis and a new Pirelli tire couldn't stop the lads going 3rd quick with a 1:41:6 on the first day. That time left them 2 tenths off the 1:41:4 of Mike Shank Racing which was the best lap over the two days. Ricky did the bulk of the testing and felt there was some more time in it.
"To be running these times this early on is a pleasant surprise, it just shows how good the Riley chassis is " said Jon Baytos team manager, he added " Ricky did a mega job as usual, we did some good laps, continued our pit stop practice and learned a lot about the chassis, it was a great test, and we are progressing well, again a big thanks to Jeff Beyer & Wayne Taylor for putting us in this position"
